Steve and his family are active members in their community, and love Arizona. When Policy Forge advocates on your behalf its because we truly believe it will better our state and community. 

Steve grew up in north Phoenix attending local public schools. Upon graduation he attended Arizona State University on an Army ROTC scholarship. Later in life as a working professional he went back to school to attain his Masters in Public Administration with an emphasis on Governance and Policy from Grand Canyon University.

Serving eight years as an officer in the US Army has  taught Steve important leadership and teamwork skills that are crucial to building coalitions at the capitol. Additionally, his role in Afghanistan was focused on developing the human terrain by identifying key leaders and building strong relationships with them. These skills will be of great use to your organizations legislative goals.

Steve has worked for numerous years in large corporations and non-profits here in Arizona. This experience has allowed Steve a unique perspective into the challenges and opportunities that occur for these entities. Understanding your corporate culture or non-profit mission will not be a foreign concept to Steve.

Owning and operating a small business is not for the feint of heart, Steve has first hand experience owning a service business here in Arizona. He took over a struggling business and within five years increased revenue by 300%. Running a small business is the most challenging and rewarding endeavor that someone can undertake, and you don't need government making it harder than necessary. Steve understands how important it is to keep the government out of your way.

Having served as State Representative and State Senator in the Arizona Legislature, Steve has a unique perspective on how the lawmaking process works. He has also experienced the lobbying process from a member perspective, and understands the most effective ways to be successful at the capitol.
